MENTOR STRATEGY
Strategies adopted for the mentoring program are based on best practices at peer institutions. Mentoring is evolving into a student transitions and retention strategy bringing together professional staff and departments in collaboration around student retention and success strategies. The triapate strategy adopted for mentoring hinges on; outreach to the student, referral of students to services and resources at the college, and advocacy for change (Richardson, 2008).
